21 Days of Prayer & Fasting - Day 2

Day 2
Good morning to each of you!  I pray your first day was productive. Even if you are just joining, it is all good. Let's continue ahead together and see what God has in store for us!

Devotional Scripture & Thought
Going forward, I wanted to provide us with a brief devotional scripture and thought as an additional source of material that can be referenced to replace other ungodly sourced material. I will underline areas of the verse for us ALL to contemplate. I will share a brief thought and you are invited to share your thoughts about the scripture and those highlighted areas in the comments below...

"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and the attitudes of the heart." Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)

This scripture sets off the distinction between the bible and any other book ever created. This is part of an intricate system of communication God has put in place between us all. The fact that it is described as "alive and active" is powerful to be. It never becomes old, it never dies, it never is dormant, it never is still, it never is quiet - it's truth rings out throughout all of our experiences in our daily lives. The question is will we learn and apply it? What are some of your thoughts...

My Journey's Observations
Yesterday, I had to decide if falafels were okay for me to eat. I am doing a no meat, vegetables, fruit and liquid fast. Because I allowed myself several treats before the fast started, I had a nice headache on yesterday as my body was reacting to being limited in what it could eat. I also am working through a pretty nice cold, so that helped me push plenty of water.

I am spending time also learning about areas that are of critical importance to me, God, Family, Leadership. I enjoy finding great biblically based teachers and listening to them. How are you spending your non-scroll time?  How has you first day been?  Feel free to share in the comments...

Finally
Remember this is a journey we are on, so there is no need for inappropriate condemnation. If you slip and eat or do something you were intending to fast from, just reset and restart. That is part of the learning curve as well.

I love you with the love of God...

Have a wonderful day and a tremendously blessed week!

Blessings,

Pastor Kris
